Sergiu Deitsch 91773746be Simplify instantiation of cost functions and their functors
If arguments are passed to a cost function that can be used to construct
the functor, the latter will be instantiated by the cost function using
std::make_unique to ensure exception safety. This not only avoids static
analysis warnings caused by calling new but also spelling the cost
functor type name multiple times.

Also expand deduction guides for instantiating
Dynamic(Auto|Numeric)DiffCostFunction from std::unique_ptr enabled
constructor overloads.

Finally, make CostFunction default move constructible and assignable but
only through derived classes. This in turn allows derived classes to be
movable without relying on custom implementations of corresponding
operators.

Nikolaus Demmel 7b8f675bfd fix formatting for (non-generated) internal source files
- Change formatting standard to Cpp11. Main difference is not having
  the space between two closing >> for nested templates. We don't
  choose c++14, because older versions of clang-format (version 9
  and earlier) don't know this value yet, and it doesn't make a
  difference in the formatting.
- Apply clang-format to all (non generated) internal source files.
- Manually fix some code sections (clang-format on/off) and c-strings
- Exclude some embedded external files with very different formatting
  (gtest/gmock)
- Add script to format all source files

Sergey Sharybin 54ba6c27b5 Fix missing declaration warnings in Ceres code
This commit includes the following:

- Changes to CMake to make it safer to see which compiler flags are supported,
  so this way we do not need to worry about version checks in CMake.

- Unix platforms (which includes both Linux and Apple as far as i can tell)
  will now enable -Wmissing-declarations warning for the whole Ceres.

- Changes in all sources to solve missing declaration warning. In most cases
  it was either matter of using static qualifier or moving functions to an
  anonymous namespace.

  In one case the function got removed, since it seems to be unused.

  Additionally, in slam examples there was a non-inlined function implementation
  in a header, which is a direct way to cause linking errors if other .cc file
  will include that helper header.

- All third party sources (which is currently only gmock) has this extra
  paranoid warning disabled.

This warning is important in the following cases:

- Detect helper functions which are not needed anymore.
- Avoid unnoticed pollution of namespace.
- Avoid bad level calls.
- Avoid missing updates in header files after changes in implementation file.
- Helps integrating Ceres into software where paranoid warnings are important.

Sameer Agarwal e82e128344 Deprecate integral_types.h
This header defined integral types in the pre-C++11 days, and can
be replaced with <cstdint> and the types defined therein.

Also remove a shallow (and incorrect) typedef in include/ceres/types.h

David Gossow 2a1dfd2b71 Add DynamicCostFunctionToFunctor.
This adds a new wrapper class called DynamicCostFunctionToFunctor
that closes a gap in the current API: the existing
CostFunctionToFunctor can only be used with a SizedCostFunction, where
the number and sizes of all parameter vectors are known at compile-time.
The DynamicCostFunctionToFunctor allows you to wrap a generic
CostFunction into a templated functor which can then be used in a
DynamicAutoDiffCostFunction.

Also updates the existing CostFunctionToFunctor class to internally use
DynamicCostFunctionToFunctor.

Sameer Agarwal bcc865f81c Remove using namespace std;
For historical reasons we had a "using namespace std;" in port.h. This
is generally a bad idea. So removing it and along the way doing a bunch
of cpplint cleanup.

Sameer Agarwal 175fa8ff09 CostFunctionToFunctor allows dynamic number of residuals.
The code itself was perfectly capable of handling residuals, but there
was an overly strict runtime check that had to be removed.

Thanks to Domink Reitzle for reporting this.

Sameer Agarwal 85561eee95 Use int32 for parameter block sizes.
CostFunction now uses int32 instead of int16
to store the size of its parameter blocks.

This is an API breaking change.

Sameer Agarwal 9c5acce674 Add CostFunctionToFunctor.
CostFunctionToFunctor wraps a CostFunction, and makes it available
as a templated functor that can be called from other templated
functors. This is useful for when one wants to mix automatic,
numeric and analytic differentiated functions.

Also a bug fix in autodiff.h
